Parent-child training

Welcome to parent-child training! This training is specially designed for the little ones and offers a wonderful opportunity to promote your child’s motor and mental development. The focus is on fun, movement and strengthening the parent-child bond. Together you will go through simple but effective exercises that playfully strengthen your little one’s concentration, coordination and self-confidence.

Aims of parent-child training

Our training aims to lay the foundations for healthy physical and mental development. Inspired by the principles of Shukokai Karate, it is less about fighting and more about important values such as discipline, respect, self-confidence and perseverance. All of these skills are essential to prepare children for future learning processes.

Exercises for body and mind

Parent-child training promotes arm and leg coordination, balance and an understanding of one’s own strengths and weaknesses. Together with their parents as training partners, the children playfully discover their abilities. The parents join in with the exercises one-to-one, which helps the children to feel safe and motivated. Training together strengthens the bond between parent and child, and the little ones can take their cue from their parents to participate courageously.

What is trained?

Our training involves simple but effective exercises that are specially tailored to the age of 2 to 3 years. Here are some examples of the exercises:

  • Hopping: Promotes the development of the ankle joints and strengthens the leg muscles.
  • Rolling: Supports body awareness and helps to train balance.
  • Dodging: Children learn to react to movements and act quickly.
  • Kicking and punching: trains the coordination of hands and feet in a playful way.
  • Self-defence: First basic blocking techniques to boost self-confidence and sharpen self-awareness.

Parents as role models

An essential part of the training is that the parents actively participate. Children learn by imitation, and when they see that mum or dad are fully involved, this increases their motivation enormously. At the same time, the children experience emotional support and reassurance through the physical closeness and shared experience. This not only promotes motor skills, but also strengthens their confidence in their own abilities.

Duration of the training

To ensure that the training is not too strenuous for the little ones, each session lasts around 20 to 25 minutes. This short, intensive time is enough to challenge the children both physically and mentally without overloading them.

Simply try it out

Our parent-child training is the perfect opportunity to spend time together, get some exercise and promote children’s development. It not only strengthens physical skills, but also self-confidence and the parent-child relationship. Together we create a playful environment in which the children can try things out and surpass themselves! Not only will your child’s motor and mental development be encouraged, but the relationship between the two of you will also be strengthened by training together.
